About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide coding and abstracting services for outpatient, pediatric surgery CPT records
- Review medical records to assign diagnostic and procedural codes
- Ensure appropriate DRG assignment
- Maintain effective communication and professional image
- Participate in team training and coding education
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3 years or more of related medical coding experience
- Pediatric Facility, outpatient, surgery experience
- Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPS, and CPT coding principles and guidelines
- Must pass coding proficiency test
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required
- Either CCS, CPC certification
