About the role
- Provide coding and abstracting services for outpatient, physician, or emergency room medical records
- Participate in industry forums and coding education within the team
- Ensure appropriate DRG assignment
- Maintain current knowledge of coding guidelines and responsibilities
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years of related coding experience
- CPC certification
- Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPS and CPT coding principles
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
