About the role

  • Design, implement, and optimize data systems and pipelines that support advanced AI/ML applications within a Navy IT command
  • Collaborate closely with AI/ML engineers and other technical teams to ensure efficient and scalable processing of large volumes of data
  • Leverage best practices in data engineering to create robust, high-performance data architectures to enable machine learning model deployment
  • Maintain data quality and ensure compliance with security protocols
  • Streamline data workflows to meet the needs of the client's IT systems and support mission-critical defense operations

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience OR Bachelor's degree and 7+ years OR Master's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering
  • Experience with Apache NiFi and Kafka
  • Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance (desired)
