About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Reports to company management on the current status of IT security.
- Advises company management on IT security matters.
- Develops and formulates the IT security policy and obtains approval from company management.
- Communicates the agreed IT security policy to all affected employees.
- Issues policies and regulations specifying how IT security should be achieved within the company.
- Supports the application of IT-Grundschutz (IT baseline protection) and conducts risk analyses to create the IT security concept.
- Coordinates IT security objectives with corporate objectives for IT use and aligns them with the IT strategies of individual business units.
- Defines IT security responsibilities for subordinate areas.
- Reviews developed IT security concepts for correctness and traceability.
- Prepares company decisions on cost-intensive IT security measures.
- Monitors the progress of implementation for IT security measures.
- Coordinates checks of the effectiveness of IT security measures during ongoing operations.
- Coordinates awareness-raising and training measures on IT security.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in IT security and data protection, ideally with relevant certifications such as ISO 27001 or comparable standards
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information clearly
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility, as well as to collaborate effectively in a team
- Willingness to pursue continuous professional development and to stay informed about current developments in the IT security sector
- Flexibility and willingness to travel within Germany and, if required, internationally
