About the role
- Establish, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade hardware and computer equipment
- Provide user support for clients including admins and executives
- Manage inventories of software and equipment and issue items to workers
- Set up, monitor, update, and secure client computer networks
- Establish new networks and provide network security
- Educate non‑network employees on proper computer usage and maintenance
- Work alone or in small teams at the corporate offices in New York
- Serve as junior systems administrator backup handling servers, backups, and hosted services
Requirements
- 4 yrs. of prior hands on experience in a similar role
- Bachelors Degree in CS or related field
- Experience as Helpdesk Tech Levels 1–3 and backup Junior System Administrator
- Experience supporting 700+ users, admin staff, and C‑level executives
- Mastery of Windows and Apple systems (MacBooks)
- Experience with Windows 7 and newer, Windows Server 2008/2012 or newer
- Experience with Linux networks
- Experience with MS 365 and hosted services such as Gmail and Office 365
- Experience with file system management and mail servers
- Experience with Veritas Backup Exec and DLO
- Experience with Symantec and ESET Antivirus (server/client)
- Experience with MDM (Workspace One, MaaS360 or similar)
- Experience with SSO/MFA (Okta, OneLogin or similar)
- Mobile device support (iPhone and other mobile devices)
- Hosted VoIP services (RingCentral, Vonage, etc.)
- Knowledge of GPOs
- Printing services support
- Ability to produce clear and concise documentation
- Confident in troubleshooting problems
