About the role

  • Oversee selling Structured Products SMA strategies to financial professionals, primarily in the RIA and IBD space
  • Leverage a consultative sales process to acquire new relationships, expand existing client relationships, and service existing clients
  • Work with other Sales teams within iCapital to expand the reach of Structured Investments SMA within the iCapital ecosystem
  • Educate advisors on the merits of Structured Investment SMAs as part of client portfolios
  • Onboard new clients to iCapital’s network to support business growth
  • Travel regularly in the market to meet with advisors and clients to support new and existing business
  • Utilize contact management system to capture information, schedule follow up activities and manage pipeline
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team on email campaigns, webinars, industry events
  • Collect and maintain competitor analysis
  • Report to the SMA Division Leader and focus on sales in West, Southwest and Midwest territories

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience working within the investment industry in a client facing capacity (e.g., external wholesaler, internal wholesaler, relationship manager, product specialist)
  • SMA and Asset Management experience highly preferred
  • Structured Investments experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment and follow a rigorous sales process
  • Self-sufficient and a self-starter
  • Able to sell and provide support across multiple SMA strategies
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses are required
  • Experience covering RIA aggregators, larger RIAs, and independent broker-dealers and strong relationships with these client segments preferred on the West Coast
  • Willing to travel one third of the work schedule
