About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Gather and analyze the medical, administrative, and contractual information required to open and assess new short-term disability claims
- Communicate with clients, employers, and various stakeholders to obtain required information and ensure thorough follow-up on claims
- Determine claim eligibility according to contract provisions, established criteria, and operating procedures
- Process and issue eligible short-term disability benefits through an accelerated payment process for straightforward claims that meet established requirements
- Maintain complete and accurate claim records within internal systems to support operational continuity and service quality
Requirements
What you’ll need- Is recognized for their administrative rigor and ability to manage multiple files in a high-volume environment
- Demonstrates strong analytical skills and sound judgment when interpreting medical, administrative, and contractual information
- Displays empathy, active listening skills, and a genuine commitment to delivering a professional and client-centered experience
- Is known for communicating clearly, professionally, and tactfully with a diverse and sometimes vulnerable clientele
- Has experience in customer service, administrative processing, insurance, case management, or a related field
- Has an advanced level of English proficiency, as the role requires regular verbal and written communication with clients, employers, and stakeholders located outside Quebec
