About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform various IT audit engagements (related to IT, information systems, and other relevant topics) following the defined methodology
  • Assess IT General Controls (ITGC), IT internal controls, and IT Application Controls (ITAC) related to various systems and applications
  • Actively participate in all aspects of engagements, from defining audit objectives and planning to fieldwork and report writing
  • Establish timelines with the engagement team and Management, ensuring adherence to deadlines
  • Conduct analyses and tests on IT governance and internal controls, ensuring audit work meets the team's quality standards
  • Contribute to periodic follow-up on implementation of recommendations with audited business areas and monitor major initiatives
  • Contribute to the preparation of the annual internal IT audit plan
  • Provide coaching to less experienced colleagues on audit techniques and methodology
  • Prepare audit findings for communication to Management
  • Draft reports to communicate conclusions to the audit committee
  • Stay informed of current, emerging, and potential risks, trends, and opportunities affecting our organization and actively share insights with the team
  • Maintain a professional relationship with auditees based on respect, trust, collaboration, and active listening, with a focus on satisfaction and efficiency.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Hold at least one recognized IT audit certification (such as CISA)
  • Proficiency with IT risk management frameworks (COSO, COBIT, NIST, ISO, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of IT General Controls (ITGC) and IT Application Controls (ITAC)
  • Proven ability to document processes and controls, and to develop and execute testing programs
  • Strong knowledge of core IT domains: information security, cybersecurity, IT operations, business continuity and disaster recovery, telecommunications, data governance, IT architecture, cloud computing, and project development
  • Knowledge of major cloud providers (Azure, GCP, AWS)
  • General knowledge of artificial intelligence concepts
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
  • Advanced proficiency in English, as the role requires daily communication with English-speaking clients and partners across Canada via email and calls
