About the role
- Lead the delivery of IT services and solutions to meet business needs and the objectives of the IT vice-presidency, adhering to quality standards, timelines and budgets
- Serve as the primary IT point of contact for business units and compliance
- Coordinate solution integration with the target enterprise architecture
- Implement DevX tools and practices within development teams
- Optimize delivery processes through continuous improvement
- Advise internal partners on the selection and deployment of IT solutions
- Oversee performance and ensure the availability of required resources
- Enforce adherence to current processes, policies and standards
- Ensure support for needs, applications, data, infrastructure and services
- Maintain proactive communications with business unit managers
- Plan and control the service’s financial, material and human resources
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline
- 15 years of extensive experience in information technologies
- Experience managing multiple project teams and large programs
- Proficient in managing significant annual budgets
- Demonstrated expertise in preparing and presenting major IT business cases
- Effectively manages relationships with business stakeholders
- Understands the software development lifecycle, DevSecOps, DevX, Agile, SAFe and Lean
- Innovates and mobilizes resources through change
- Develops human resources and supports career progression
- Understands IT budgeting mechanisms
- Experience and knowledge of the financial, banking and insurance sectors (asset)
- Advanced English proficiency, as the role requires regular business interactions with English-speaking service providers
- Will be required to lead meetings in English (in person or via Teams), deliver presentations, conduct negotiations and write communications in English on a regular basis
- Experience managing in a matrix organization (asset)
