About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as the subject matter expert for complex cases involving deaths, separations, bankruptcies, and decumulation products
  • Perform account corrections, analyze required actions, reconcile tax accounts, and amend tax slips
  • Handle escalations related to delays, errors, or disputes and consult Legal when necessary
  • Analyze event sequences to determine corrective actions
  • Analyze legislative changes and update procedures, training, and documentation
  • Manually calculate fund returns and produce tax slips for death-related TFSA and non-registered account cases
  • Conduct peer reviews of complex financial transactions
  • Remit unclaimed property in accordance with provincial legislation
  • Manage project-based team tasks related to unclaimed property and age 71 requirements
  • Support team members, provide feedback, and resolve recurring issues
  • Collaborate with internal partners to resolve issues and propose client-focused solutions
  • Oversee workflow, deadlines, delegation, and escalation to management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • In-depth knowledge of group savings and retirement products and applicable legislation
  • Three to five years of relevant experience
  • College diploma in a relevant field
  • Empathy, attention to detail, and effective communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Intermediate English proficiency required
  • Ability to understand and process English information, files, and communications daily with English-speaking internal and external partners
