About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define and maintain an integrated enterprise architecture vision aligned with strategic priorities and AI-augmentation goals
Establish and evolve target technology architectures, principles, and directions, with decision-making authority
Align business models, organizational capabilities, processes, application architectures, and technology architectures
Define target architectures and evolution roadmaps to modernize platforms, reduce complexity, and accelerate value delivery
Lead the IT 2030 plan across business lines and domains
Coordinate execution, dependencies, priorities, and alignment of business sector roadmaps
Oversee the ITE4B portfolio under delegated CTO authority
Lead prioritization and investment arbitration for the ITE4B portfolio and report to the CTO and CIO
Reinvent the enterprise architecture practice for AI-driven transformation while maintaining security, compliance, and robustness
Leverage generative AI, automation, and modern engineering approaches to accelerate architecture work
Foster business and IT alignment and position architecture as a strategic accelerator
Integrate AI, data, cybersecurity, and technology strategies
Champion iAFG’s IT strategy and align it with business, innovation, and AI roadmaps
Design and lead governance mechanisms and establish architecture standards, frameworks, principles, and positions
Define AI and agent governance principles and architectural control layers with Risk Management
Accelerate architecture decisions through templates, reusable components, and pre-approved decisions
Lead enterprise architecture directors and teams through direction, expertise, and empowerment
Unite stakeholders around a shared vision and develop architecture talent

Requirements

What you’ll need

University degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
Significant experience in enterprise architecture, IT strategy, or organizational transformation
Leadership experience, including transformation of professional practices
Strong understanding of business models and complex IT environments
Experience collaborating with executive-level stakeholders
Knowledge of artificial intelligence, data, cybersecurity, automation, and emerging architectures and their implications in a regulated financial services environment (an asset)
Broad organizational and systems-thinking perspective
Ability to guide technology decisions while leveraging senior architects and domain specialists
Strong analytical and synthesis skills
Excellent communication and influence skills at strategic levels
Strong negotiation skills
Ability to advance strategic initiatives over short- and medium-term horizons with focus on execution speed, simplification, and value creation
Advanced proficiency in both French and English
Ability to collaborate daily, verbally and in writing, with unilingual English-speaking partners, teams, and stakeholders across Canada and internationally
