About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Understand Genesis brand DNA and design criteria
Create compelling sketches reflecting our design philosophy of athletic elegance
Translate concepts into 3D in virtual reality and real-time environments without assistance from a CAD modeler, and visualize them for reviews and presentations
Develop design proposals for production and concept cars from initial sketch through 3D data and full-size model
Emphasize digital design workflows over traditional processes
Manage design projects and presentations in cooperation with design management
Design branded goods and items based on a deep understanding of Genesis brand DNA
Collaborate closely with all related functions within Design and the R&D Center

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Transportation Design, Automotive Design, Industrial Design, or a related design discipline
Minimum of 5 years professional experience in relevant fields
Proven track record delivering exterior design proposals for production vehicles and/or concept cars
Familiarity with digital design visualization workflows and VR / real-time review environments
Excellent visual communication and presentation skills
Open-minded, proactive personality
Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus
