About the role
- Engineering responsibility for suspension systems across European vehicle programs from concept through SOP and beyond
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to ensure design compatibility and define clear targets
- Prepare concept designs and drive system and component development to meet agreed targets
- Prepare EOs/ECRs and release drawings in close collaboration with suppliers
- Coordinate with manufacturing plants, quality and purchasing to ensure production readiness and meet quality requirements
- Scout and develop new technologies in collaboration with suppliers and through industry conferences
- Propose improvements to existing components and enhance and expand development standards
- Work closely with our R&D center in Namyang (South Korea)
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the automotive industry, ideally with an OEM or Tier 1 supplier
- Strong knowledge of suspension systems, bushings, mounts, dampers, springs, and chassis integration
- Familiarity with OEM R&D processes, project management, and cross-functional collaboration
- Experience analyzing test, simulation, and validation results and translating findings into actionable solutions
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize suspension performance for ride, handling, etc.
- Knowledge of advanced technologies is a plus (active suspension systems, MR dampers, composite materials, 3D printing)
- Excellent communication skills; able to prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations in English
- Willingness to travel (including mid/long-term assignments to Korea); valid EU driving license (Category B)
