About the role
- Operation and orchestration of containerized applications with Kubernetes, including securing them by implementing RBAC, Network Policies and Pod Security Policies
- Implement container security measures, including image scanning and vulnerability management
- Create, maintain and manage Helm charts for deployment automation
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI or GitHub Actions
- Implement and operate monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
- Diagnose and resolve performance, deployment, and networking issues in distributed systems
- Automate infrastructure management using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi
Requirements
- Several years of professional experience in a similar role
- Willingness to participate in backend development
- Solid knowledge and hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications, and confident use of container technologies such as Docker or containerd
- Ideally, experience working with AWS S3
- Experience creating and maintaining Helm charts
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Pulumi or similar)
- Good shell scripting skills and experience with Linux tools
- Knowledge of configuring firewall and routing components
- A Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification is desirable
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with German at a minimum C1 level
- Strong team orientation and enthusiasm for actively shaping collaboration
