About the role
- Operation and orchestration of containerized applications with Kubernetes
- Hardening through implementation of RBAC, Network Policies and Pod Security Policies
- Performing container security measures, including image scanning and vulnerability management
- Creating, maintaining and updating Helm charts for deployment automation
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI or GitHub Actions
- Implementing and operating monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)
- Diagnosing and resolving performance, deployment and networking issues in distributed systems
- Automating infrastructure management with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi
Requirements
- Several years of professional experience in a similar role
- Willingness to contribute to backend development
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications
- Proficiency with container technologies such as Docker or containerd
- Experience with AWS S3 is a plus
- Experience creating and maintaining Helm charts
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Pulumi or similar)
- Good shell scripting skills and experience with Linux tools
- Knowledge of configuring firewall and routing components
- Preferred: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification
- Strong communication skills in German at a minimum C1 level
- Highly team-oriented and enjoyment in actively shaping collaboration
