About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Go-to technical contact for the development team
Hands-on programming and technical decision-making in day-to-day operations
Functional mentoring without disciplinary management responsibility

Providing technical support during refinement and explaining complex technical concepts clearly
Expanding and optimizing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and Azure DevOps
Establishing Clean Code practices, code reviews, and automated unit and system tests
Contributing to shorter development cycles and more reliable deployments
Building, documenting, and sharing knowledge across the team
Contributing to process and system documentation
Developing best-practice guides and technical standards
Coaching developers in architecture, Clean Code, and systems thinking
Supporting the onboarding of new team members
Promoting continuous learning and professional exchange
Coordinating with the Engineering Manager on technical matters and the overall technical direction

Requirements

What you’ll need

Several years of experience developing web applications with C#/.NET
Confident working with scalable database systems, including MS SQL and PostgreSQL
Experience with modern backend architectures and modular services
Ideally, experience with Angular (v15+) and RabbitMQ
High quality standards, a pragmatic approach, and a holistic understanding of products
Experience integrating new technologies and digital solutions
Solid understanding of the applications and limitations of AI in a business context
Experience with AI-/LLM-assisted development; ideally, experience integrating AI-based features
Proven hands-on experience with Docker/Kubernetes
Experience with fully automated deployments and Infrastructure as Code
Strong knowledge of designing, scaling, and orchestrating services
Experience working with GitHub, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions and ArgoCD
Experience with automated testing, including unit and system tests
Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly and understandably
Interest in discovery processes with Product Managers and stakeholders
Very good German language skills at least at C1 level
