About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the primary technical point of contact within the development team while actively contributing to development
Make technical decisions in day-to-day operations without disciplinary management responsibility
Implement your own features and bug fixes within the sprint
Take ownership of complex technical tasks and solve architectural challenges
Contribute to architectural decisions relating to modularization, interfaces, and security
Evolve C#/.NET and MS SQL core systems into resilient, containerized services running in a Kubernetes cluster
Consider observability, performance, scalability, security, and deployment requirements
Provide technical support during refinement sessions and explain technical concepts clearly to Product Managers
Expand and optimize CI/CD pipelines
Establish Clean Code practices, code reviews, and automated testing with a shift-left mindset
Promote shorter development cycles and reliable deployments
Build, document, and share knowledge across the team
Contribute to process and system documentation and develop technical best-practice guides and standards
Provide technical mentoring and coaching to developers
Support the onboarding of new team members
Foster continuous learning and professional exchange
Work closely with the Engineering Manager on technical matters and the team’s technical direction

Requirements

What you’ll need

Several years of experience developing web applications with C#/.NET
Strong proficiency in MS SQL, PostgreSQL, and modern backend architectures
Experience with Angular (v15+) and RabbitMQ is a plus
Experience integrating new technologies and digital solutions
Solid understanding of the applications and limitations of AI in an enterprise context
Experience with AI-/LLM-assisted development; experience integrating AI-based features is a plus
Proven hands-on experience with Docker/Kubernetes, fully automated deployments, and Infrastructure as Code
In-depth knowledge of designing, scaling, and orchestrating services
Experience with GitHub, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and automated unit and system testing
Enjoyment of technical mentoring and coaching
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly, including to non-technical stakeholders
Interest in understanding the business and participating in discovery processes with Product Managers and stakeholders
English at least C1 level
German at least B2 level
