About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Take end-to-end responsibility for services, from development and operations through monitoring
Design and operate cloud infrastructure using AWS and CDK
Optimize and extend a Java-based backend
Implement domain functionality with TypeScript
Design and implement interfaces based on OpenAPI
Understand existing architectures, fix bugs, and further develop products
Support new product directions in real-estate financing
Combine AI initiatives with full-stack development
Implement automated end-to-end tests
Work with CI/CD using GitHub Actions and monitoring tools such as Grafana and Splunk
Support frontend tasks with Angular as needed
Work in a small, cross-functional team developing solutions for real-estate financing and self-service

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience in backend development with Java and TypeScript
Experience with distributed system architectures
Experience setting up and operating cloud infrastructure with AWS, ideally using CDK
Experience taking responsibility for the operations and monitoring of your own services
Test-driven development and Clean Code practices
Experience with CI/CD pipelines
Creativity and flexibility
Self-organization, ownership, and drive
All-round engineering skills with a clear backend focus
Confident working with cloud infrastructure and APIs, with the ability to provide frontend support when needed
Experience building AI products or targeted AI training is a plus
