About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with Sales and customers to develop and configure mission-critical power distribution solutions for data center and critical infrastructure applications
- Create, review, and support pre-sale technical designs including one-line diagrams, system configurations, and equipment selections for RFQs and proposals
- Ensure proposed solutions comply with applicable standards and codes including NEC, UL, ANSI, NEMA, NFPA, IEEE, and IEC requirements
- Evaluate customer technical specifications and provide application guidance for Tier I–IV data center power system architectures
- Prepare submittal documentation including drawings, bills of material, and technical documentation following project award
- Collaborate with Manufacturing and Production teams to support configuration alignment, manufacturability, and lead-time coordination
- Support development and maintenance of configuration tools and standardized application engineering workflows
- Serve as a technical resource for switchboards, switchgear, breakers, metering systems, and power quality solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related technical field
- 5+ years of experience supporting data center, critical power, or low-voltage distribution systems with a focus on switchboards and switchgear solutions
- Strong understanding of one-line diagrams, electrical system architecture, and equipment configuration principles
- Experience reviewing RFQ/RFI/RFP documentation and customer technical specifications for mission-critical infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of electrical standards including UL891, UL1062, UL1558, NEC, IEC, and related manufacturing considerations
- Familiarity with switchboards, switchgear, breakers, metering systems, and power quality solutions
- Experience with Siemens COMPAS and Schneider Electric SE Advantage switchboard/panelboard configuration tools
- Strong technical communication and customer-facing skills
- Ability to travel up to 10–15% as required
