About the role
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with contract manufacturers across the U.S.
- Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing partners to ensure process capability, quality, and compliance with Hyper standards
- Lead process audits, supplier evaluations, and production readiness assessments
- Develop and maintain production work instructions, inspection procedures, and training materials
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies
- Support production start-ups, first article builds, and process validation activities
- Analyze manufacturing costs and capital requirements; provide recommendations for cost reduction and investment
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain on process improvements, yield, and reliability initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, with emphasis on contract manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of electrical power distribution equipment and manufacturing processes
- Experience supporting mission-critical or high-reliability products (data center, industrial, or infrastructure preferred)
- Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with internal teams and external partners
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to travel within the U.S. up to approximately 35%
