About the role
- Develop branding for planning initiatives including logos, colors, and associated materials
- Develop project websites for planning initiatives
- Prepare promotional materials for events such as flyers and social media graphics
- Prepare graphic design layouts for planning reports, slide decks, and presentation boards
- Prepare graphics, charts, maps, and illustrations to make written content more engaging, including replacing text with graphics when appropriate
- Support document production using Adobe Creative Suite
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 4 years professional experience
- Proficiency in graphic design
- Proficiency in managing multiple deadlines concurrently
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience preparing and formatting medium-to-large-scale report documents is desired (20 to 200 pages)
- A background in technical writing, journalism, or related storytelling is desired
- Familiarity with local government operations, community planning, community development, or economic development is desired, but not essential
