About the role
- Utilize CAD software (e.g., Microstation including InRoads and OpenRoads) to create detailed drawings, maps, and plans
- Collaborate with surveyors and engineers to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings and plans
- Support engineers in completing quantity calculations and takeoffs
- Maintain organized records of drawings and project files for future reference and revisions
- Adhere to quality control standards on drawings to ensure adherence to company standards and project requirements
- Stay updated on CAD software advancements and industry best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity
- Communicate regularly with project managers and design engineers
- Work on several projects concurrently
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years experience
- Proficiency in Microstation
- Proficiency in InRoads
- Proficiency in OpenRoads
- Proficiency in Excel
- Proficiency in Word
- AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of transportation cad drafting principles and practices is required
