About the role
- Lead designer on water resource projects
- Interact with clients, explaining scope and requirements
- Provide direction and assistance throughout project life cycle
- Help clients understand changes impact on project budget
- Develop and supervise engineering work on municipal projects
- Conduct planning studies and guide design and construction phases
- Prepare preliminary engineering reports for funding agencies
- Prepare bidding documents for municipal public works projects
- Plan, lead and supervise engineering work of project team
- Provide municipal engineering expertise to individuals and work groups
- Interpret and coordinate engineering projects with unique criteria
- Plan and direct large and important engineering projects
- Lead and supervise technical team members
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- 6 years’ of relevant, progressive experience in civil engineering industry
- Professional Engineering License in Indiana (or the ability to obtain licensure in Indiana through reciprocity)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to think critically, manage time and problem solve
- Strong data analysis and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and on a team
- High ethical standards and commitment to self-development and teamwork
