About the role

  • Ensure cybersecurity controls are embedded within IT projects from design through deployment.
  • Ensure interoperability of cybersecurity tools across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Develop automation workflows and orchestration solutions to improve efficiency and security.
  • Integrate disparate IT systems into cohesive workflows aligned with security goals.
  • Apply RMF, NIST 800-53 rev. 5, and CSF to system design and implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT and cybersecurity teams for secure integrations.
  • Provide technical expertise in cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and network security platforms (Palo Alto, Cisco).

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a cybersecurity role, with at least 2 years in a cybersecurity engineering role.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience integrating IT projects using a commercial cloud provider.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience using automation platforms for system orchestration.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience integrating disparate IT systems into a cohesive workflow.
  • Proficiency in Python, with at least 1 year of demonstrated coding experience as part of a work role.
  • Detailed understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF), NIST 800-53 rev. 5 control families, and the Cybersecurity Framework (CSF).
  • Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.
  • Networking experience with Palo Alto and Cisco devices.
  • Active Public Trust Clearance and/or clearable for a Government Security Clearance.
