About the role

  • The Cloud Data Architect is responsible for ensuring the collection, normalization, aggregation, and contextualization of telemetry across public and private cloud environments to support cybersecurity functions. This role plays a critical part in enabling detection, threat hunting, incident response, governance, and compliance efforts. Operationalize cloud data pipelines that support cybersecurity use cases. Architect and maintain telemetry pipelines across cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP, and private clouds) to meet cybersecurity monitoring requirements. Ensure appropriate data normalization, aggregation, and enrichment to support detection engineering, threat hunting, incident response, and compliance functions. Define and implement cloud security architectures across multiple tenants and accounts. Oversee capacity planning and optimization of data pipelines within cloud platforms. Integrate and manage cloud security products (e.g., Palo Alto Prisma) to enhance visibility, monitoring, and compliance capabilities. Collaborate with cybersecurity, compliance, and operations teams to ensure data and security objectives are met.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a cybersecurity operations or engineering role. Minimum 3 years of experience in a cloud operations or engineering role, with direct responsibility for logging in Azure (required) and familiarity with AWS or Google Cloud (preferred). Minimum 2 years of experience managing security and compliance for cloud workloads. Minimum 4 years of experience working with ETL (extract, transform, load) processes for cloud storage. Minimum 2 years of experience in capacity planning on a major commercial cloud platform. Proven ability to design and implement secure multi-cloud architectures. Strong knowledge of cloud security products and tools, with hands-on experience implementing monitoring solutions. Active Public Trust Clearance and/or clearable for a Government Security Clearance.
