About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create and manage 3D models for electrical systems using Revit and other BIM tools
- Ensure models comply with project specifications, codes, and industry standards
- Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts with mechanical, structural, and other disciplines
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, architects, contractors, and external consultants
- Participate in coordination meetings and assist in resolving design issues
- Manage model exchanges between internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare electrical drawings, layouts, and other model-based deliverables
- Maintain current models throughout the project lifecycle, including design changes and as-built documentation
- Assist in developing BIM standards and best practices
- Identify opportunities to streamline modeling and coordination workflows
- Stay updated on BIM trends, tools, and industry developments relevant to electrical design
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2 to 5 years of experience in electrical BIM design, focused on commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects
- Proven experience using Revit for electrical systems modeling
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Revizto, and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Familiarity with BIM 360 and clash detection processes
- Understanding of electrical design concepts, codes, and standards
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working across teams
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two-year degree in electrical construction, electrical design for construction, or similar preferred
- Ability to work in a professional office environment and use standard office equipment
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds
