Designing and executing the migration of a large-scale Microsoft SQL Server environment into PostgreSQL architecture.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven experience as a Senior Database Engineer, Database Migration Engineer, or similar role.
Strong expertise with PostgreSQL and/or Microsoft SQL Server.
Solid experience planning and executing database migration projects from MS SQL Server to PostgreSQL.
Advanced knowledge of SQL, T-SQL, and PL/SQL.
Experience designing, optimizing, and refactoring complex database schemas and queries.
Strong understanding of database internals, indexing strategies, query optimization, partitioning, replication, and performance tuning.
Experience working with distributed database architectures and scalable read/write environments.
Knowledge of software engineering best practices, database architecture, and data modeling principles.
Experience working in Agile development environments.
Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools.
