Key responsibilities & impact

Build industry-first products that make retirement accounts simple and easy for employers and participants
Collaborate with domain experts to design, build, and test new features and systems
Build robust, observable, maintainable, and scalable systems
Design, build, and maintain user experiences for external and internal customers
Work on business-critical foundational services serving as the data funnel for the platform
Improve complex processes and systems to increase robustness and reduce human intervention
Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to share knowledge and build expertise
Take ownership of system domains and make informed engineering tradeoffs
Advocate for and delight internal and external users
Direct AI agents across prototyping, implementation, debugging, and code review
Expand AI tooling to automate repetitive engineering work and improve code quality through AI-driven review

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years of experience building and maintaining software in production
Desire to work with Node, TypeScript, Kotlin, React, AWS, PostgreSQL, and Kafka
Proficiency with AI coding assistants such as Codex, Claude Code, and Cursor
Strong communication skills with engineers and non-engineers
Desire to learn, think creatively, and share knowledge
Enjoyment of mentoring engineers and deeply reviewing code
Proactive and empathetic approach to solving customer problems
Previous experience working in startups and/or fintech
