Serve as the SME for project management best practices and contribute to the growth of the team/task force.
Lead project teams by defining clear project plans, driving project-specific meetings, setting realistic expectations, tactically guiding teams in and outside of your department to deliver project goals, and adhering to project scope and timeline.
Own the entire project life cycle: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously.
Work autonomously in an ambiguous environment, seeking to understand business problems, automation limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions, and reasons behind leadership decisions.
Apply analytical and critical thinking to proactively solve for the unknown, mitigate risks (before they become roadblocks), and drive execution with speed without compromising quality.
Create and maintain project documentation and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure documentation is up-to-date while enforcing procedures.
Develop, implement, and govern KPI reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones and performance across all projects; provide the path forward to address areas of concern and collaborate towards a solution.
Create executive status reports around your projects and lead cross-functional meetings.
Collaborate cross-functionally to identify gaps between teams, processes, and systems, with a strong bias for action.
Requirements
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design, or related field.
7+ years of proven experience in a project or program management role.
Excellent organizational, project, and time management skills; can juggle and prioritize multiple tasks with varying deadlines and stakeholders without dropping the ball.
Proven track record of utilizing Agile Methodology successfully, as well as working with large sets of data and using metrics to measure outcomes and drive improvements.
Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, partnering with SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) to complete project milestones, and communicating results to senior leadership.
Ability to dive deep and fully understand the project, in order to make informed decisions.
Strong ability in leading virtual planning and project meetings with colleagues of varying leadership levels to build consensus and influence to drive projects forward.
