About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Represent HCI as a community ambassador in Ottawa
Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with major donors
Utilize social media platforms strategically to amplify HCI’s messaging
Maintain a coordinated calendar of outreach initiatives
Identify and engage High-Net-Worth individuals
Build partnerships with local schools
Collaborate with other NGOs and community organizations
Develop and execute targeted fundraising strategies
Design innovative campaigns across channels
Establish and track fundraising goals
Plan and execute impactful community events
Recruit
train
and manage volunteers
Develop and implement youth-focused initiatives
Identify local grant opportunities and funding sources
Accurately track and manage donor information and financial contributions.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Post Secondary qualification in events planning
fundraising
project management
or a related field preferred; equivalent experience is acceptable.
Experience in fundraising
sales
or event planning
ideally within a non-profit organization.
Proven track record in community activism and volunteering.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach.
Strong prioritization and time management abilities.
Team player with the capacity to work independently.
Commitment to HCI’s values and mission.
Fluency in English; proficiency in French or another language is a plus.
Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are essential.
