• Ensures site compliance with mining regulations and safety standards
• Supervises, coordinates, and schedules the activities of workers
• Identifies, investigates, corrects, and documents potential environmental and safety problems
• Establishes methods to meet work schedules and coordinates work activities with other departments
• Provides information for production plans to ensure production objectives are met
