About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Service assigned commercial insurance accounts with designated Producer
  • Review and analyze commercial accounts for coverage and limits and make recommendations to clients
  • Develop and maintain client relationships to meet service needs
  • Develop new business from existing accounts and assigned leads
  • Contribute to departmental production goals
  • Gather client information and prepare applications for new and renewal coverage submissions
  • Prepare client proposals based on client needs, rates, and coverages
  • Prepare account transactions including applications, certificates of insurance, invoices, and forms
  • Maintain accurate data in the agency management system
  • Handle collections of premiums due when required
  • Conduct business with awareness of business and earnings implications
  • Monitor industry changes and trends to anticipate and respond to profit objectives
  • Perform other responsibilities assigned by the Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in commercial insurance
  • Thorough knowledge of commercial lines coverages and markets
  • Required Producer’s license
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • High school or equivalent education
  • Negligible required travel
