About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee day-to-day branch operations including scheduling, performance monitoring, and ensuring the branch runs efficiently and professionally
- Drive revenue growth and profitability by holding the branch accountable to KPIs across top-line growth, contribution, compensation management, and client engagement
- Build and sustain a sales culture by reviewing goals with the team, identifying opportunities to cross-sell and upsell, and leading by example
- Manage client escalations and complaints, seeking resolution between clients, staff, and insurance companies
- Coach, train, and develop branch staff, including onboarding new hires and identifying performance barriers
- Monitor employee performance and provide regular reporting to regional leadership
- Ensure receivables are current and branch administrative processes are running to standard
- Maintain current knowledge of insurance products across auto, personal lines, and commercial lines to support staff day-to-day
- Maintain licensing in good standing, including attending continuing education as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of insurance industry experience
- Level 2 insurance licensing required, with a CAIB designation highly valued
- Demonstrated experience in a people leadership or branch management role
- Experience working across organizational or functional boundaries
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills with solid business acumen
- Excellent relationship-building skills with a genuine client service orientation
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration is an asset
