Account Manager – Commercial Lines
HUB InternationalAccount Manager supporting Producers and AEs in commercial insurance. Managing new accounts and renewals with a focus on client needs and effective underwriting services.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Determine what is needed for placement of new accounts or the renewal of existing accounts
- Discuss renewal intentions with the appropriate underwriters
- Attend or host client strategy meetings, both internal and external
- Prepare for and lead discussion during Critical Path meetings
- Manage the renewal or placement process, which includes leading the coordination between local, regional, and national specialty units
- Finalize market submissions
- Answer underwriting questions and negotiate terms and pricing with markets
- Complete coverage comparisons, identify recommended coverages, and fill those gaps
- Finalize and present proposals independently, or alongside the Account Executive or Producer
- Facilitate binding of coverage
- Conduct contract reviews as needed
- Resolve client coverage inquiries
- Manage account documentation including ERM 14 forms
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong understanding of commercial lines coverages, forms, procedures, and policy rating
- Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Effective negotiating skills
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint)
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work-related experience
- WI Property & Casualty License required
- 3-5 years in a commercial insurance customer service role required
- Applied Systems (EPIC) experience preferred
