About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provides consultative account management and brokerage services to large-group employee benefits clients with 1,000-5,000+ lives
  • Works alongside Producers, responsible for overseeing management of assigned accounts as the technical expert and broker-consultant across complex, multi-carrier benefit programs
  • Partners with decision makers, provides proactive consultation, insurance program design, and negotiation of coverage terms
  • Establishes and maintains strong relationships with C-level and senior HR decision-makers
  • Leads carrier marketing, underwriting negotiations, and RFP processes for large-group accounts
  • Conducts annual reviews, making coverage and cost-containment recommendations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Active Life & Health License
  • 5-7+ years of employee benefits account management or consulting experience, some of which servicing Major Markets (1,000+ lives)
  • Demonstrated expertise with self-funded and level-funded plan arrangements, stop-loss marketing, and large-group underwriting concepts
  • Experience influencing C-level executives and presenting to senior HR leadership at large employers
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to design and deliver group presentations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing demands across multiple large-group accounts
  • High energy, detail-oriented self-starter with strong leadership and mentoring skills
