About the role
- Interface with a book of business to strategize and propose benefit solutions
- Partner with clients on emerging trends, annual renewals, and options to meet client goals
- Assess problems, understand client expectations, and meet or exceed those expectations
- Contribute to and flourish in a team environment and exemplify Hub Fundamental 5
- Regular professional development and staying abreast of changes in employee benefits
- Provide and explain compliance package annually and alert clients to potential issues
- Conduct client presentations and foster relationships with carrier reps and client HR
- Assess cross selling opportunities, ask for referrals, and generate new sales opportunities
- Discuss strategic partnerships and compensation/value proposition with client
- Mentor Associate Benefit Consultant, Account Manager, BA/CSS and ISR
- Use Benefit Point to document and assign client service issues and renewal steps
- Ensure smooth implementation and transition for carrier changes and verify submissions
- Stay organized, manage projects and track next steps
Requirements
- 3-5+ years’ experience in benefits including a strong knowledge of self-insured plans, ancillary lines, and current legislation
- Bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent) highly preferred
- Louisiana Life and Health license is required or willing to complete ASAP
- Professional Designations (RHU, REBC, CEBS) a plus
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to interact effectively with people of various responsibility and authority
- Highly organized
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects at once
- Required Experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience
- Required Education: High school or equivalent
