About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Learn the fundamentals of Appian low-code application development and business process automation.
Shadow experienced consultants to gain real-world insight into designing, developing, and implementing Appian solutions.
Assist in building Appian applications, workflows, interfaces, reports, and business processes under the guidance of senior developers.
Participate in application testing, quality assurance, and defect resolution activities.
Support the integration and configuration of Appian applications with enterprise systems.
Research Appian best practices, emerging technologies, and industry trends, and present findings to the team.
Create and maintain technical documentation, configuration guides, and user documentation.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving application issues.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, team meetings, knowledge-sharing sessions, and collaborative problem-solving activities.
Develop training materials and resources to support end-user adoption.
Continuously expand your technical knowledge while developing consulting, communication, and presentation skills.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn new technologies.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated leadership through academic, extracurricular, or professional experiences.
Passion for software development, automation, and emerging technologies.
Basic knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts (Preferred).
Familiarity with Java, Python, JavaScript, SQL, or another programming language (Preferred).
Understanding of databases, web technologies, or software development methodologies (Preferred).
Experience with Agile or Scrum environments is a plus (Preferred).
Resides in the Washington, DC metropolitan area (Preferred).
