About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, and integrate next-generation avionics systems for fixed-wing aircraft and Urban Air Mobility platforms
  • Support IMA systems software integration activities
  • Assist with software validation and verification efforts
  • Contribute to Key Program Indicators (KPI) tracking and validation
  • Participate in requirements analysis and decomposition
  • Support model-based development and system design activities
  • Assist with integration testing and troubleshooting
  • Support laboratory and on-aircraft testing across the full system lifecycle
  • Help ensure performance, reliability, and certification readiness of advanced avionics systems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 2+ years of experience in software engineering, avionics, or a related technical field, including internships, co-ops, or academic projects
  • Experience with programming languages C, C++, Python, and PowerShell
  • Experience with real-time operating systems such as DEOS and ARINC 653
  • Experience with debuggers such as gdb and Visual Studio
  • Exposure to software development lifecycle concepts and best practices
  • Exposure to I/O protocols such as CAN and ARINC 429
  • Basic understanding of software integration, validation, and verification
  • Exposure to data loading standards or avionics communication protocols is a plus
  • Exposure to avionics systems, DO-178 B/C, DO-254, and ARP4754A
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills and ability to apply new concepts quickly
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, hold asylum or refugee status in the U.S., or have the ability to obtain export authorization
