About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and refine ECS performance models and simulations for air and vapor cycle systems, including validation and verification of system-level steady-state requirements
Conduct thermodynamic, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics analyses to optimize system performance
Define system- and equipment-level key performance measures and generate and validate associated requirements
Create and maintain system-level steady-state models, including runtime performance optimization
Validate models against component and system test data
Generate model documentation
Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate hardware and software components effectively
Perform system validation, verification, and testing to ensure compliance with specifications
Design, develop, and integrate complex systems to meet customer and business requirements
Report directly to the Systems Engineering Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Engineering Physics, or Aerospace Engineering or related engineering fields
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
2+ years of experience in mechanical, chemical, or related engineering fields, with emphasis on thermal management system modeling and analysis
Advanced degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related technical field with emphasis on thermal management system modeling and analysis, in lieu of experience
Experience in thermal management system design and development
Experience in systems modeling tools and software such as NPSS, SysML, MATLAB, or similar platforms for system analysis and design
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities
Due to US export control laws, candidates must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, protected status under asylum/refugee, or able to obtain export approval
