About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and oversee advanced manufacturing processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and productivity.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement advanced manufacturing technologies and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Manage Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) items to meet IPDS goals.
- Analyze manufacturing data and metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Interface with Engineering and Sourcing to identify Suppliers meeting capacity, cost, and capability goals.
- Identify and manage new product assembly, test, or tooling Capital needs.
- Drive DFM (Manufacturing, Assembly, Test, Lean) activities.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or 12+ years of related work experience in lieu of a degree
- Proven experience in advanced manufacturing, process optimization, and lean manufacturing principles
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing technologies, welding, brazing, machining, additive manufacturing
- Knowledge of industry specifications such as AWS D17.1 and AMS2750.
- Familiar with GD&T concepts and symbols.
- Experience with data analysis and statistical process control.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proven track record of continuous improvement and project execution.
- Familiar with NX or similar CAD software.
