About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for the design, development and analysis of static gas turbine engine components
  • Performing strength, fatigue, containment, heat transfer, and various other types of stress analyses
  • Test support and communicating with Project engineering teams
  • Resource and manpower planning and conduction of design reviews
  • Presentations to internal and external customers and ensuring proper documentation of work performed
  • Engaging in department process improvement initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience performing structural analysis on gas turbine engines
  • Proficiency in linear static, nonlinear/elastic-plastic, fatigue (HCF & LCF), modal, shock, harmonic, random vibration, & crack growth analyses
  • Strong working knowledge of ANSYS finite element software & classical hand calculation methods
