About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for the design, development and analysis of static gas turbine engine components
- Performing strength, fatigue, containment, heat transfer, and various other types of stress analyses
- Test support and communicating with Project engineering teams
- Resource and manpower planning and conduction of design reviews
- Presentations to internal and external customers and ensuring proper documentation of work performed
- Engaging in department process improvement initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics
- Minimum of 4 years of experience performing structural analysis on gas turbine engines
- Proficiency in linear static, nonlinear/elastic-plastic, fatigue (HCF & LCF), modal, shock, harmonic, random vibration, & crack growth analyses
- Strong working knowledge of ANSYS finite element software & classical hand calculation methods
