About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Play a critical role in managing and optimizing production schedules to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Responsible for coordinating complex production plans, analyzing demand and supply data, and collaborating with multiple departments.
- Report directly to the Production Planning Manager and work out of the South Bend, IN location on an On-site work schedule.
- Impact the efficiency and reliability of the production process by ensuring accurate scheduling, timely material availability, and proactive resolution of supply chain challenges.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in production planning or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong expertise in production scheduling, inventory control, and material requirements planning (MRP) systems.
- Proficiency with ERP software such as SAP or PeopleSoft to manage production data and schedules.
- Ability to analyze complex demand and supply data to optimize production plans and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience with Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) and inventory optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of advanced production planning tools and methodologies.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions and influence decision-making processes.
