About the role

  • You are responsible for selecting and maintaining relationships with our suppliers
  • You determine which supplier products will help us achieve our assortment goals and add them to our catalog
  • You ensure our new-product pipeline is consistently filled and manage it end-to-end
  • You negotiate prices and terms for new and existing assortment
  • Together with the Logistics and Quality Management teams, you improve products from the core assortment with the aim of maximizing margin and customer satisfaction
  • To achieve your goals, you attend trade shows, visit suppliers, and monitor the market
  • You work closely with stakeholders across our corporate group and actively participate in industry association activities

Requirements

  • You have a degree in business administration or a completed commercial training
  • You bring solid purchasing experience from the furniture or home furnishings industry
  • You have good knowledge of the furniture market and its manufacturers and suppliers, as well as a strong understanding of product trends
  • You have relevant experience in negotiation
  • You work independently and have excellent communication skills
  • You have business-fluent German and good (at least B1) English skills
  • You are willing to travel nationally and internationally; a driving licence (class B) is an advantage
