About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide personal care support, including washing, dressing, grooming, and daily living activities
Support service users with mobility and movement while ensuring safety and dignity
Maintain clean and safe environments in service users’ homes and communal spaces
Communicate with service users about their needs and preferences
Collaborate with colleagues and healthcare professionals to deliver consistent, high-quality care
Assist with meal preparation and eating and drinking where required
Monitor and report changes in service users’ health or wellbeing
Maintain accurate, confidential care records
Support social activities and engagement to promote wellbeing and independence
Follow health and safety protocols, safeguarding procedures, and organizational policies
Undertake training and development opportunities
Deliver person-centered care that respects preferences and promotes autonomy

Requirements

What you’ll need

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Physical capability to deliver hands-on personal care support
Proven reliability, punctuality, and consistent attendance
Flexibility to work shift patterns
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Resilience to manage the emotional demands of care work
Commitment to supporting vulnerable adults through person-centred care
Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to undergo the recruitment process
First Aid certification or willingness to undertake training (desirable)
Verifiable care, healthcare, or customer service experience (desirable)
Valid UK driving licence and reliable vehicle for community-based support (desirable)
Right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available
