About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide personal care support, including washing, dressing, grooming, and daily living activities
  • Support service users with mobility and movement while ensuring safety and dignity
  • Maintain clean and safe environments in service users’ homes and communal spaces
  • Communicate with service users about their needs and preferences
  • Collaborate with colleagues and healthcare professionals to deliver consistent, high-quality care
  • Assist with meal preparation and eating and drinking where required
  • Monitor and report changes in service users’ health or wellbeing
  • Maintain accurate, confidential care records
  • Support social activities and engagement to promote wellbeing and independence
  • Follow health and safety protocols, safeguarding procedures, and organizational policies
  • Undertake training and development opportunities
  • Deliver person-centered care that respects preferences and promotes autonomy

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Physical capability to deliver hands-on personal care support
  • Proven reliability, punctuality, and consistent attendance
  • Flexibility to work shift patterns
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Resilience to manage the emotional demands of care work
  • Commitment to supporting vulnerable adults through person-centred care
  • Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to undergo the recruitment process
  • First Aid certification or willingness to undertake training (desirable)
  • Verifiable care, healthcare, or customer service experience (desirable)
  • Valid UK driving licence and reliable vehicle for community-based support (desirable)
  • Right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available
