About the role
- Support in accounting processes, such as invoice processing, pay run batches, invoice control, and monthly statement preparation
- Assist with reporting, including P&L statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and documentation for external accountants
- Contribute to controlling processes, such as revenue and COGS controlling, monthly recognition of revenue and costs, and key account reviews
- Drive process optimization by improving accounting, reporting, controlling, and related workflows
- Act as a sparring partner to the Head of Finance & Corporate Development in designing and implementing new processes
- Manage and maintain process documentation and SOPs
- Provide financial guidance in projects, particularly in expansion and investment decisions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting
- 3+ years experience in accounting
- Strong interest in startups and scale-ups
- Hands-on, ownership-driven mindset and motivation to learn quickly
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Professional, discreet, and able to handle confidential topics with integrity
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible and adaptable to change, with resilience under pressure
- Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken
- Experience with accounting software such as BMD, DATEV, or ERP systems
- Proficient in Google Sheets
- Bonus: experience with BI or reporting tools
- Organized, proactive, and able to juggle multiple tasks independently
- Eager to gain a holistic understanding of company financials and contribute to long-term growth
