About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using TypeScript and Node.js
Build high-performance RESTful APIs and backend services
Design and optimize relational and NoSQL database models
Use AI-assisted development tools (such as Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, or similar) as an integral part of the software development lifecycle, including implementation, testing, debugging, and code reviews
Develop clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best engineering practices
Collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, QA engineers, and other cross-functional team members
Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decision-making
Optimize application performance, scalability, and security
Integrate third-party services and APIs
Write and maintain technical documentation
Perform code reviews and mentor other developers when needed
Stay up to date with emerging backend technologies, frameworks, and engineering best practices
Work in an agile environment with a strong focus on delivering high-quality software

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
Minimum 5 years of professional backend development experience
Strong professional experience with TypeScript and Node.js backend development
Experience with frameworks such as NestJS, Express.js or similar
Experience designing scalable backend architectures
Strong experience in database design, data modeling, and SQL databases.
Proven experience using AI-assisted coding tools (such as Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, or similar) to improve productivity while maintaining code quality, security, and engineering best practices
Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL and/or NoSQL databases
Experience building REST APIs
Experience with asynchronous programming
Experience monitoring and debugging production systems
Knowledge of OpenAPI/Swagger for API documentation.
Strong knowledge of software design principles
Experience with Git and Docker
Experience deploying applications to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or modern hosting platforms such as Railway,Supabase
Experience writing automated tests and ensuring code quality
Excellent problem-solving skills
Fluent in spoken and written English
