About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead development and execution of the project management plan
Build and maintain client relationships with MoDOT, KDOT, ODOT, and Iowa DOT
Serve as primary client liaison for one or more mega ($5M+) and/or super mega ($25M+) projects
Manage contracting, project controls, quality, risk, and change management
Implement HNTB’s project delivery plan using the Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA)
Develop and nurture key client relationships and identify client needs and business solutions
Manage project financial performance, cash, budget, schedule, and scope
Set priorities, obtain commitments, and engage resources to staff projects
Collaborate with office and division leadership to solve challenges and meet business objectives
Supervise and mentor project teams
Oversee Project Managers where appropriate
Oversee project staffing, recruitment, hiring, development, retention, succession, reporting plans, and performance and compensation review support
Lead pursuits of mega projects and participate in super mega project pursuits
Develop long-term strategies and pursue additional business opportunities with key clients
Prepare proposal and presentation materials
Lead client interviews, proposal presentations, and industry presentations
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
12 years of relevant experience
4 years of experience successfully managing and delivering mega and/or super mega projects
Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred
20 years of relevant experience preferred
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Employment eligibility verification required
