About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, coordinate, implement, and manage all facets necessary to construct projects on time, within budget, and to specified quality
- Provide leadership and serve as liaison between project team members, business, and clients
- Maintain adherence to HITT’s safety standards and ensure required documentation is filed
- Create and manage project budgets
- Develop and collaborate on pre-construction RFP packages
- Conduct project meetings, set milestones, and formulate monthly owner reports
- Establish job processes for RFIs, submittals, and pay applications
- Approve pay applications and negotiate subcontract change orders
- Perform project scheduling
- Ensure project quality control and establish overall project logistics
- Manage the closeout process
- Contact new and existing customers to discuss needs and explain how company services can meet them
- Supervise assistant project manager, administrative assistant, MEP manager, safety team, and other assistant operations support roles
- Collaborate with the project superintendent and site operations team throughout the project
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma required
- Four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred
- In lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable
- 5+ years’ experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor
- Previous experience in a project management role with the ability to execute multiple projects and/or simultaneously
- Ability to master sector/project-specific software systems including Microsoft Office suite, ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam, and JD Edwards
- Mastery of reading, interpreting, and updating construction drawings
- Ability to organize people, tools, and time to meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of current market conditions, including pricing conventions and trends
- Ability to lead projects and facilitate decision-making
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally and present complex information clearly
- Ability to take initiative and seek responsibility
