About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Obtain, evaluate, coordinate, and distribute information and authorizations needed to construct projects on time, within budget, and to specified quality
- Protect and promote the interests of the business and client
- Maintain adherence to HITT’s safety standards
- Ensure required documentation is filed
- Assist in creating and managing project budgets
- Develop pre-construction RFP packages
- Assist with project meetings, milestone setting, and monthly owner reports
- Establish job processes for RFIs, submittals, and pay applications
- Approve pay applications and negotiate subcontract change orders
- Update project schedules
- Ensure project quality control and establish overall project logistics
- Assist with project closeout
- Collaborate with the project superintendent and site operations team throughout the project
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma required
- Four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred
- In lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable
- 2-5 years’ experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor
- Previous experience on commercial job sites strongly preferred
- Ability to master sector/project-specific software systems including Microsoft Office suite, ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam, and JD Edwards
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally, with strong business writing and verbal skills
- Ability to gather and interpret data and communicate meaningful information clearly
- Ability to organize and manage tasks and priorities
- Ability to demonstrate integrity consistently with The HITT Way and HITT’s core values
