About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead end-to-end strategy and execution for the Skilled Trades Academy
  • Translate national goals into local programming, partnerships, and results
  • Build and grow employer relationships across skilled trades industries
  • Identify new growth opportunities (industries, training pathways, cohorts)
  • Plan and host events that connect participants with employers
  • Deliver briefings and webinars to drive program awareness and enrollment
  • Oversee training providers to ensure high-quality participant experiences
  • Support participants throughout their journey—from application to placement
  • Track outcomes, measure success, and continuously improve the program
  • Create clear, executive-ready updates and impact storytelling

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage diverse audiences
  • Experience in business development, partnerships, or workforce programs
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate independently
  • A data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into action
  • Comfort using AI tools to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Professionalism, adaptability, and a self-starter mentality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, and virtual platforms
  • Experience working with the military community or transition programs (nice to have)
  • Familiarity with DoD SkillBridge (nice to have)
  • Exposure to skilled trades (union or non-union environments) (nice to have)
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required (nice to have)
